Agency Guidelines
Welcome to the Agency Guidelines page! If you’re considering declaring your profile as an agency, please review the following guidelines to ensure your profile meets the platform's standards. Whether you're a solo entrepreneur or part of a larger team, we’re here to accommodate agencies of all sizes.
What Qualifies as an Agency?
An agency generally refers to a group of professionals offering services to clients. However, you don't need a large team to qualify. Even a single person running a business can declare themselves as an agency. We embrace all types of businesses, from solo entrepreneurs to larger teams.
To qualify as an agency, you must meet the following criteria:
Solo or Team-Based:
- Solo Agency: If you're a single individual offering services (e.g., freelance software developer, designer, or consultant), you can declare yourself as an agency. The key factor is that you are running a business and offering services under a brand name.
- Team-Based Agency: If you have a team, you can declare yourself as an agency. We ask that you represent yourself clearly as a business entity, whether solo or with multiple team members.
Business Entity or Personal Brand:
- You don’t need to be a formal, registered business (like an LLC) to declare yourself as an agency, but you should present yourself as a professional business offering services. If you're a solo entrepreneur, you can list your agency as a personal brand or business name.
- Your portfolio should showcase client-based work or projects reflecting your ability to offer services in fields like software development, web design, app development, and more.
Clear Services Offered:
Your agency should offer a defined set of services, such as:
- Web Development
- App Development
- Software Engineering
- UI/UX Design
- Digital Marketing
Your portfolio should reflect these services and showcase work related to your expertise, whether done solo or with collaborators.
How to Declare Yourself as an Agency
- Self-Declaration: You can declare your profile as an agency directly through your profile settings. Simply toggle the “Are you an agency?” option to "Yes," and provide the necessary details about your business.
What Happens if You Don’t Meet the Agency Criteria?
If you declare yourself as an agency but don’t meet the criteria outlined above, your profile may be flagged for review. In such cases:
- You may be asked to update your profile to better reflect your business structure.
- Your portfolio will be removed from the site.
Why Declare Yourself as an Agency?
- Professional Branding: Declaring yourself as an agency adds a layer of professionalism to your profile, making it clear that you represent a business entity, even if you're a solo entrepreneur.
- Increased Visibility: Agencies often receive more visibility from clients looking for a team-based approach or those who want to work with professional businesses. Even as a single person, you’ll be seen as a business, which can increase opportunities.
- Collaboration Opportunities: Being identified as an agency can help attract other professionals or agencies who may want to collaborate or partner with you on larger projects.
Agency Guidelines for Using the Platform
To maintain a high standard of professionalism on our platform, we ask that all agencies, whether solo or team-based, adhere to the following guidelines:
- Accurate Representation: Be honest and transparent about your services, size, and capabilities. Misleading information may lead to removal from the platform.
- Respect for Others: Engage with clients and other users respectfully. Avoid using your profile to spam or solicit business inappropriately.
- Maintain Quality: Showcase high-quality work in your portfolio. Your projects should represent the level of professionalism that your agency offers.
